I’m not sure why I never saw it so deeply before, but I love going into Ralph Waldo Emerson’s essay on Compensation. So many successful people have referred back to this essay, and presented it in different ways. How amazing it is to open the text and find rich language. Yes, I use the dictionary to get through it. Even more precious, the context is rich and worth digging for the gold.
“To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.”
“Make the most of yourself as that is all you have of yourself.”
“What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.”
“The true doctrine of omnipresence is that God reappears with all his parts in every moss and cobweb.”
“Love and you shall be loved!”
What profound and intense thoughts. Loving it!
