\"horse-and-girl-love\"Stories of animals and the love they bring to our lives were the focus of our worship service last Sunday. It was marvelous to hear how animals have brought so much love into so many lives. Pets, wild animals, they all seem to be such vehicles for Divine Spirit to come and share love \u2013 to help us see how to be more unconditionally loving. Great teachers, all of them.<\/p>\n

We attended the Pet Expo at KCI<\/a> and saw many of these animals, role models in action. Service dogs, pets that help children to heal after traumatic events, dogs trained to be patient and respond to children who are struggling with reading. I am continually amazed at the great lessons animals share. How special to love unconditionally as they do \u2026 to learn to cooperate for food, water and essentials for the benefit of life.<\/p>\n

Several rescue volunteers, owners and animal healers that were present, exhibited to me the same kind of deep love and reverence for life as the animals did. I really appreciated getting to know and work with Tessa Fenimore and Cathy Erickson<\/a>, the organizers for this event. The Midwest Pet Expo travels throughout the Midwest. These two women did a phenomenal job in setting up the event, seeking host sites so that the day could be focused on appreciation for animals and the businesses associated with them. I appreciate that they too, are examples of kindness and reverence for all life.<\/p>\n

In the Master Key, this week, here\u2019s the clause that really touched my heart:<\/p>\n

(10-1) \u2013 \u201cThe millions and millions of trees and flowers and plants and animals and the vast scheme of reproduction where the process of creating and recreating is forever going on, all indicates the lavishness with which Nature has made provision for man.\u201d Haanel writes. There\u2019s inspiration for appreciating that the Universe, God, Nature, whatever term fits for you, has our best interest in mind and is providing in ways that are mind-blowing when we really consider and appreciate how blessed we are.<\/p>\n

Harold Klemp points this out in his book, Animals are Soul Too<\/em><\/a>, a book that the local Eckankar group offered at the Pet Expo. <\/em>\u201cWe can observe the working of Divine Spirit in the habits of birds, the cycles of plants, and the instincts of reptiles and mammals. All sing the glory of God, all teach the secrets of life.\u201d What a great summary for how I\u2019m feeling this week \u2013 like singing \u2013 in gratitude for my special animal friends and for the gifts of Nature.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
