Oh, how, I love those days when I am so into my work, I get lost.\u00a0 I have no idea what time it is, little sense of being hungry and people, or an alarm, remind me to take a break, or to stop for the day.\u00a0 My passion for that work is evident in that state and my focus is so sharp!\u00a0 I find my best work coming out of those moments.<\/p>\n
In our Master Key Experience classes this week, we look at how that precious attention and focus can be redirected to help us build the total wonderful life we truly seek.\u00a0 Like planting a seed and nurturing it, our attention on whatever our thoughts are impact their growth into a reality, whether it\u2019s something we want or don\u2019t want.\u00a0 As Emerson said, \u201cThere is no thought in my mind but it quickly tends to convert itself into a power and organizes a huge instrumentality of means. \u201c<\/p>\n
What a lesson in focusing our thoughts and paying attention!!\u00a0 I remember when my parents used to scold me when I was young, begging for me to \u201cPay Attention\u201d.\u00a0 Now I see they were only trying to help me out and give me a critical lesson in life.<\/p>\n
In lesson 18 of the Master Key System<\/em>, here\u2019s how Charles Haanel explains it:<\/p>\n \u201c24. In order to grow we must obtain what is essential for our growth, but as we are at all times a complete thought entity, this completeness makes it possible for us to receive only as we give; growth is therefore conditioned on reciprocal action, and we find that on the mental plane like attracts like, that mental vibrations respond only to the extent of their vibratory harmony.<\/p>\n 25. It is clear, therefore, that thoughts of abundance will respond only to similar thoughts; the wealth of the individual is seen to be what he inherently is. Affluence within is found to be the secret of attraction for affluence without. The ability to produce is found to be the real source of wealth of the individual. It is for this reason that he who has his heart in his work is certain to meet with unbounded success. He will give and continually give; and the more he gives, the more he will receive.<\/p>\n 31. Attention has been held to be the distinguishing mark of genius.
