Our subconscious makes our decisions for us, so how do we get control to make sure it is working for our best interest? I have to be the boss! I have to let it know, clearly, what I want (and boy, sometimes that’s really hard to define, isn’t it?).
In the Master Key System, Haanel reminds us, “the conscious mind becomes the responsible ruler and guardian of the subconscious mind. It is this high function which can completely reverse conditions in your life.” (2-13).
So, this is why it’s so important to be careful what I think, what I allow myself to be exposed to. I must be the boss of me. I certainly don’t want anyone else taking that job. But how do I do it? Haanel shares this with us and so do many, many authors, “By plainly stating to the subconscious mind certain specific things to be accomplished, forces are set in operation that lead to the result desired.” (3-20)
The subconscious is our “seat of habit”. So repeating what I want, what I am willing to give for it, should set my dreams in motion. But I also must realize (here, I think, is the real key) that I must place my mind in harmony with the Universal Mind, be in tune with the Infinite. If my thoughts and desires, actions and habits aren’t good for all, then they most likely aren’t good for me either.
Whew, well, gotta get back to work – big job – being the boss of me.
If you’ve learned some ways to be successful in that job for you, let me know.

Beautifully stated, Day… as usual. I love reading your heart-felt and uplifting words. Indeed what an incredible journey we are on with this. I’m going outside now to read more of Influencer, as the other books are coming in a couple of days.
